My tiny town

My family moved to Homer, Alaska, 11 years ago, when I was barely one year old. ever since then, I have lived in Homer.

I love the tiny town I live in. All my old memories are from this place, and I can't ever imagine leaving it. Homer is forever inside of me. It's my childhood. When I go on vacations with my family, and we're in the city, it feels so strange. So many strangers, and so few friendly smiles. So many people are in a rush and don't take the time to say "hello" to those passing by.

just so u know how different my town is to the city, I'm giving some examples.

In a city: You always have to worry about locking your doors of your car and your house, and about people stealing your belongings.
Homer: Most people keep their doors unlocked, and don't worry about such things. It's extremely rare to have someone drive off with your car or steal something :)

In the city: you hardly run into someone you know in the grocery store or post office
Homer: is the exact opposite. It's extremely rare not to see someone you know when you're doing errands around town.

In a city: there's so many people who follow the trends. It kinda irritates me a tiny bit, because people just don't look unique.
Homer: People dress funky and there's freedom to be unique and artistic.

In a city: Cars look all new and expensive, and extremely clean.
Homer: 2 thirds of the cars in Homer are covered and dust, but we just don't care. I think we wash our cars 8 times a year :P

In a city: usually people have one job
Homer: several people have at least two jobs!!

Do you see what I mean? The city is so different from the small town I live in. There's so much more freedom to be who you want to be.

I think I'll stay in Homer forever.

I've changed. I suppose alot since I last blogged.

I'm different, physically and spiritually. I'm 5 foot 5 inches, have sidebangs, and my hair has naturally darkened to a very light brown.
Spiritually, I think I have matured and have found a deeper understanding of life and my Lord. I have experienced a more greater love, and have been trained in more skills of worship: praying (out loud, with a bunch of people, which can be really scary at times!), worshipping to music (and raising hy hands up), occasionally receiving "words" and pictures, along with other things.
My interests have changed, too. I don't read as much as I usually would two years ago. I no longer want to be a writer. I don't really know what I want to be when I grow up, but I've figured that whatever I should be will follow me, and God will show me what he wants to do with my life. What I now do in my spare time is photography and drawing. I hardly ever write, but instead set up photoshoots and break out some pencils to draw with.

Its been a long day, and i think I will end here.

candida diet

well, lately my mom and dad are on a candida diet now. They did the same thing last spring and part of summer.
but oh well....... they didn't kill it off yet, though.
Oops, i forgot to tell about what candida is. Well, we all have yeast in our body's, but a lot of people have candida, which means you have too much yeast in your body (though most people don't know it). Sugar, is what feeds the yeast to get bigger in your body and grow more yeast in it. So to get rid of the yeast, you have to go without any sugar for three months. You can't even have fruit, since it has natural sugars to make it sweet. They also can't have wine, milk, and vinegar. Once again, these have natural sugars that will feed the yeast if you drink or eat some of it. Lots of people usually never kill the over dose of yeast, so we're really hoping that are mom and dad will be able to get rid of it........
But what do you know? We all had a bit of ice cream last night! We have a small ice cream maker, so we can make our own ice cream. Just to make sure my parent's aren't cheating, Ill give you the ingredients: heavy cream
heavy cream, its just a bunch of fat, and it's okay to have some, since it isn't actual milk.
next ingredient: vanilla
the next ingredient is: cinnamon
cinnamon is really good for you! So you don't have to worry about that either.
the next ingredient is: xylitol
you probably never heard of that, so I'll tell you about it. Xylitol is a sweetener, except it doesn't have any sugar in it. It comes from tree, (which i forget) and its really good for you and your teeth. It acts like toothpaste, kinda.
That's all the ingredients..........Oh and, the ice cream tasted like any store bought ice cream!!

Sukkot

HEY there!! I am sooo disappointed...... Sukkot is over, and it will be awhile 'till we have another holiday. (we celebrate Jewish holidays, but we don't celebrate all American holidays.) Since we don't celebrate Halloween, it will be awhile. Start school again............ waaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh!! Well, we had a special dinner last night for Sukkot, and this is the picture we took. Brooke, (my older sis) setted up the table, made all pretty and stuff. I wish i could have got some credit for making the table pretty, but i was busy all day reading....... i got a whole day to myself mostly just reading, which i awesome for me. Sukkot was great, and i'm going to miss it.

More about me

More about me: My favorite music artist is Stacie Orrico, and a few other but for sure Stacie Orrico is my fave of my favorites right now. I have a older sister (teenager) who's name is Brooke, and a younger sis named Ria............ both sometimes can be annoying, and bossy (like me sometimes) to each other but, hey that happens when you live together with people you've lived with your whole life...........
We have one cat, and no other animals....... maybe a moose or a wild chicken, but they are wild.
My favorite season is summer, because it usually doesn't get too hot ever here in Alaska, just right. Winter is OK, but I'm not ready for it yet. Well, that's me.

yucky, and feeling a bit sick

okay here's how i was feeling yesterday: sick.

first i started out just really tired and took a nap or two............. then woke up, still tired.

Wednesday, was when i was feeling sick. that's our most busiest day of the week which

is extra hard for me, since there is alot of things for me to do that day. Here's what we

do: piano lessons, sometimes grocery shopping, chiropractic adjustment, library, go to

the post office, and then at night we go to this group. Maybe sometimes we will even do more.....
............. busy, eh? Well, it got more than just tired. Starting to feel a bit of a headache, it soon
got a little more worse. Mostly that day, i couldn't go out and do most of the things. i was just
out of energy, and just didn't feel right. Soon after my stomach felt sick. I said to myself, please
not now!!
Oh well, i threw up three times and went to bed right away after that. Now i am feeling really
good, like my regular self again now. I'm glad thats over now.
